There are 2 branches of "national public schools" in Israel.
Since the Bible is an important document to Judaism (even from a totally secular point of of view) it is taught in both of them.
The difference is in the later grades, where the ‘regular’ schools treat it like a subjective collection of both history and myths and the ‘religious’ ones do not question what’s written in it.
Secularish
They are religious. Tanach (Bible) is taught in schools.
Ultra N forgot to mention Ayayay.
Secular.
Bible is taught from a secular point of view.
Wouldn’t that be neat.
Secular, But the Bible is taught in Elementary school and it’s an exam for matriculation certificate.
