Brain Drain of Young Jews/ Relocation of Young Jews?
How are Jewish agencies dealing with the brain drain of young Jews in their communities? After college, many Jews do not return home, they end up in large cities such as Chicago and New York City. This is one of the major problems in my hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. I am an intern and work for the Jewish Family and Career Services in Louisville, and we are looking for ideas how to prevent the relocation of young Jews. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

This is not just a problem for Jews, but for smaller sized cities in general.
After graduation, many people move to bigger cities because they can usually make more money, have better job opportunites, and have a more interesting or diverse lifestyle.
The only way to stop this is to keep in touch with young people during college and contantly remind them of the great opportunities/ lifestyle of living in Louisville verses say Chicago.
Maybe advertise how great it is in Louisville to the Jewish people?
