Can you recommend me on a good place to get it?
I mean somewhere where the food is delicious.

I am not a jew, and do not have any Jewish family.
Near where I work there is a large jewish community, and there is a Kosher Deli.
As a matter of curiosity, I would love try some Jewish ’specialty’ foods, but I don’t know if that is considered acceptable to the Jews themselves, or whether their food is considered ’sacred’ and not to be shared with outsiders.
I don’t really want to go in and ask to buy, incase they have to refuse on religious grounds, and doing so makes them feel awkward.
Although I read the definition on Wikipedia, but I still don’t understand Kosher Food, pls explain for me.
i dont know what it is i am very confused by the whole terminology like what is a kosher deli? help?
i know its a food jewish eat but what is it
I asked him yesterday after he made sauce using pork chops to please not cook non-kosher food because A) although he won’t let me convert yet I want to stay faithful to my chosen religion and B) eating non kosher food often gives me a headache.
He apparently didn’t care because tonight he cooked bacon and wouldn’t let me make my own dinner.
My dad cooked non kosher food for the second night in a row, what should I do?
I understand the concept of kosher food, like what happens to make it kosher, and I understand why kosher meat is necessary but I’m a bit confused about why there are kosher pickles. I asked my roommate whose Jewish and she wasn’t sure either so I decided to consult yahoo answersland.
So, do people who are Jewish have to eat ONLY kosher food? I hope I’m not being rude, I’m just curious!
My roommate is Jewish and I know that she does not but she is also not in practice currently.
We’re at a church gathering, tonight; and we’re eating hamburgers. The subject came up about the pickles being dill or kosher dill. What is the difference between ordinary food, and kosher food? Not just pickles- they’re seasoned differently, right? We are really, extremely curious about all of the kosher foods. THANKS!
I understand that some kosher foods have to be prepared without dairy products, the #1 source of lactose. That being the case, which kosher food products would be particularly safe for a lactose intolerant? Please be prepared to provide documentation, since I want to use this data on a book or blog and would like to quote you.
As of 01-01-07, I began a strict Kosher only diet and have already lost 5 pounds. I researched how a Kosher priest cuts the fat as he blesses the food. I’m not sure if he is cutting fatty chunks off the meat or removing the fat out of eggs. Regardless how he does it - none of them have capitalized on it. How can I become a Kosher priest so I can become the next fitness billionaire by marketing Kosher recipes? This will definitely be bigger than Dr.Atkins, Jenny Craig and weight watchers put together.
I do not eat pork myself and I am a Christian. How does kosher food differ from regular food? I know all blood is removed. But is it acceptable for Orthodox Jewish people to accept blood transfusions since they do not eat blood? I mean no disrespect, I am just curious and do not know much about the Jewish diets. Thank you.
like a meat or dairy bi-product?
I’ve heard from some people that the way the food is processed determines if it is Kosher or not, and other people have said that the food need only be blessed by a rabbi to be kosher. What are the actual requirements neccessary to make a food certifiably kosher?
just in case, if you didn’t know, kosher is the type of food that jews can eat. i need some foods i can compile together into a menu. if you can, please include prices. thanks
I know about kosher dietary laws, but I mean more as a cooking style. If I went to a kosher restaurant what sort of food would be served, what cooking methods are used?

My friends and I were playing scattagories and ethnic food was one of the categories. My friend put down Kosher, and I agreed. However, the other people did not believe so. Help settle this debate, is Kosher an ethnic food or not?
I have a few honest questions, and my intent is not to disrespect anyone who keeps kosher.
Basically, my question is why do you follow the various dietary laws? Is it because you think they exist for a reason, or because your parents made you?
One of my suitemates in college kept kosher, and when I asked him about it, he said that he thought it was silly and he hated that he could never come out to dinner with us, but it was just something that he did. I asked him what would happen if he stopped, and he said that almost all of the people close to him, parents included, would look down on him. Would this be the case for any of you? Any other thoughts or opinions?
Thanks in advance.
Also, if you have no interest in answering please don’t post a smartass comment about how you’re better than everyone else, or that religion is stupid, etc…
There are too many people on here who make religion an inpossible topic to discuss in a civilized manner. Thanks again.
