Is it Possible for a Lebanese person to Visit Israel?
Hi Friends,
One of my dear friends from university (in the USA) is a Lebanese (Christian) national but also also a zionist. She only has Lebanese citizenship but would like very much to visit Israel. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how?
I know Lebanese who have visited Israel before, but usually the y use a 2nd passport (e.g., EU or American).
Thanks.

It is possible by Israel’s laws. However, she should know that she’ll have to pass through stringent security measures including in all probability an interrogation. She should also know that if she enters Israel on her Lebanese passport then Lebanon will not accept her back. It is against Lebanese law for a Lebanese citizen to visit Israel. Most people dodge this by entering on a different passport so that the visa isn’t stamped into the Lebanese passport. However, if she only has a Lebanese passport then she won’t be able to hide it. Perhaps there is another way around that law, but I don’t know of it.
i think yes but i do not know how
I met several Lebanese people on one of my trips to Israel; I always found them really friendly! It was a welcome surprise, in light of the problems between the two countries. But they were great. I’m not sure how it works for Lebanese to visit Israel but I really hope your friend makes it there. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
i know people that used the Egyptian passport and had no problem so my guess is yes it’s possible
She can’t as far I know, she needs to have a 2nd passport. Also an Israeli or a passport with an Israeli stamp cannot go to Lebanon. Same rules. Cheers!
edit Mike: if that were the case, all of Hezbollah would visit!
It is indeed possible that a Lebanese citizen can visit Israel. The prohibitions on visiting Israel from Middle Eastern nations are not Israel’s prohibitions. All nations are allowed to visit.
Good Luck!!!
Yes, it is possible. Contact the Israeli embassy. Good luck!
I dont believe so. She would need a separate passport. She maybe able to get into Israel. But, I believe people holding passports from Israel or with Israeli visas are not allowed to enter certain Arab states - Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq.
Now could a Lebanese re-enter their home country? That is a good question. I just know a foreigner cannot enter Lebanon with an Israeli passport or Israeli stamp/visa.
Lebanon is defined as enimy state by Israeli Law. Therefore no lebanise citezens can enter. Exception is former SLA (South Lebanon Army) fighters who fought alongside with Israel in Lebanon and later fled to Israel. So the answer is no. Person may not enter Israel with Lebanise passport
